Summer Jearning Journey part 1/ act 2

The WWF is tiring to save Freshwater Seals. They are making snow banks so the baby cubes aren't born on ice. The cubes have to be born in a snowbank to stay alive because protesters can come and kill the cubes if they are born on ice because they have known protection when its parents are away looking for food.

  2. Kia ora,

My name is Hazel and I am part of the Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) team. I’ll be helping Allie and the team out in Toki Pounmau over the Christmas holidays. It's great to see you making a start on the programme.

It's very sad that there are only about 360 left in the world; it sounds like they are very vulnerable to predators if there are no snow-banks for the cubs to be born on. How successful has the WWF been with their project?

Keep up the great work, and I look forward to seeing more of your posts soon.

    Hazel :)
